The sessions/topics of the whole Seminar include the following: God's Love.   How Jesus saves us. Everyday life as a full-gospel Christian. Being open to all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Allowing the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. Growing in our New Life. Becoming more like Jesus. What will the Holy Spirit do in my life? Lead me to a better personal friendship with Jesus and the Father. Help me better appreciate the Mass, Jesus in the Eucharist and the Scriptures. Help me to pray more effectively. Lead me to become a better Catholic. Give me boldness to be more active in my parish. Help me be a better parent, neighbor, parishioner, or citizen. Lead me to be all God created me to be. Help me deal with some of my personal problems. Make real the power of the sacraments. Help me lead a happier life. The Life in the Spirit seminar is intended for anyone who desires a new awareness and deeper relationship with God, especially through the working of the Holy Spirit, and to be more fully spiritually equipped in building the Church. Participants are invited to pray for the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" which was evident in the Upper Room as the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Church at Pentecost. It is an invitation to "stir into flame" in a renewed Pentecost the gift of the Holy Spirit that was given at Baptism and Confirmation. In speaking of the "New Pentecost," Pope John Paul II described it as "a grace directed to sanctify the Church, to renew in her the taste for prayer, and to rediscover with the Holy Spirit the sense of thankfulness, of joyful praise, of confident intercession, and to be converted into a new fountain of evangelization." Grace of God Accepting the Baptism in the Holy Spirit does not mean joining a movement. It means embracing the fullness of our Christian initiation. It can touch anyone and everyone. It has an effect on every part of the life of the Church, because it equips us to serve God and one another in love and power, and sends us out to participate in the Church's ministry in the world. It revitalizes every program in our parish because it revitalizes every person who is involved in the programs. Living in the Spirit means participating fully in the Body of Christ. It can make our parishes real communities of love, from which we take the challenge of the Gospel into our social and work environment. Our mission is the mission of the Church – to transform society. What is essential is the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit. On this and on the gifts of the Spirit I don't see how we can compromise. At a recent public audience Pope John Paul II taught on the charisms in the life of the Church. He explained their importance in this way: "The people of God's sharing in the messianic missions is not obtained only through the Church's ministerial structure and sacramental life. Makapagsasabi sa kanyang panginoon      muog ka’t tahanan,ikaw ang aking diyos ang diyos na tangi kong pinagkatiwalaan. Ikaw ‘y ililigtas niya sa panganib sa      umang na bitag at kahit ano mang mabigat na salot di ka magdaranas . Lulukuban niya sa lilim ng kanyang      malabay na pakpak at sa kalinga niya ay nakatitiyak mo na ikaw ay ligtas .      Iingatan niya’t ipagsasangalang pagkat siya’y tapat.   Pagsapit ng gabi di ka matatakot sa      anumang bagay. Maging sa gagawing biglaang paglusob pagsapit ng araw . Ni sa ano pa mang darating na salot      pagkagat ng dilim di ka matatakot sa kasamaaan man araw kung dumating. Kahit na mabuwal sa iyong harapan ang      sanglibong tao . Sa iyong paligid ang bilang ng patay maging sampung libo      di ka matatkot at matitiyak mong di ka maano. Ikaw’y magmamasid at sa panonood  iyong mamasdan. Yaong masasama ay      makikita mong pinarurusahan.  Sapagkat si Yahweh ang inyong ginawang      tagapagsanggalang at ang pinili mong mag-iingat sa yo’y kataas taasan. Di mo aabuting ikaw’y mapahamak at      walang daratal .Kahit anong uring mga pagahihirap sa iyong tahanan. 11. Susuguin nya ang maraming angel silang      susubaybay kahit saang dako ikaw maparoon tiyak iingatan. 12. Sa kanilang palad ay itatayo ka’t      silang magtataas nang hindi masaktan ang mga paa mo sa batong matalas. 13. Kahit ang tapakan mo ay mga leon, ahas      na mabagsik di ka maano sa mga serpiyente’t leon mababangis. Ang sabi ng diyos, “aking ililigtas      ang tapat sa akin at iingatan ko ang sinuman taong ako’y  kikilanlin. Pag sila’y tumawag lagging handa ako      na sila’y pakinggan. Aking sasamahan at kung may hilahil ay sasaklolohan,      aking ililigtas at ang bawat isa ay pararangalan. Sila’y gagantimpalaan ko ng mahabang      buhay at nakatitiyak na ang tatamuhin nila’y kaligtasaan. PSALM   91 1. Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, 2. Can say to Him, "You are my defender and protector, You are my God; in You I trust." 3. He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases. 4. He will cover you with His wings; you will be safe in His care; His faithfulness will protect and defend you. 5. You need not fear any dangers at night or sudden attacks during the day. 6. Or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight. 7. A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all around you, but you will not be harmed. 8. You will look and see how the wicked are punished. 9. You have made the Lord your defender, the Most high your protector. 10. And so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home. 11. God will put His angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go. 12. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones. 13. You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and poisonous snakes. 14. God says, I will save those who love me and I will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord. 15.
